this last week I have
enjoyed hearing the birds starting to sing as it gets light…
finished the yummy chocolate brownie I made last week – made with dates, cocoa, flour, butter, mashed banana and walnuts – no sugar, no egg and very delicious…
finally got round to going to the hairdresser for a 12cm trim…
discovered that the wonderful rose scented soap that Nat and Wee Sis gave me reminds me of Granny’s bathroom at Croft Mhor…
been entertained by the long tail tits on the seed feeder…
appreciated the Northumbrian coast once again as we walked from Alnmouth to Boulmer and back again to get some fresh air…
ordered some wool (because a girl can never have too much wool)…
been transported back to university days hearing Sade on the radio…
seen lambs for the first time this year…
been simultaneously proud / impressed / relieved that Dave had the skills to find and mend the seriously leaking pipe in the bathroom wall…
smelt newly mown grass already – and it’s only March (the grass outside Barter Books was being cut today)…
looked endlessly at windows, trying to work out / decide what style to install…
loved the cold crisp days we’ve had, and have felt the warmth of Spring in the sunshine…
been especially thrilled to see that my very wonderful friend has become a bona fide published author…

What a lovely week you’ve had – it sounds wonderful. Walks, brownies, Sade, mown grass – makes me feel like I’m there with you. And how exciting to see you posted my pic!
Well done, Sue! That’s really rather impressive (and awfully grown-up, if you don’t mind me saying so)
It’s not often anyone calls me grown up – in fact, Amanda – you’re the first!
